September 26, 2011: Berkshire’s board of directors authorize repurchases of shares at no higher than a 10% premium to book value and so long as cash did not fall below $20 billion. Berkshire would go on to revise this to 1.20x book and then to when Warren Buffett determined it was undervalued.
