Another quiet stretch in Berkshire’s history. I’ll be on vacation next week, so here’s the following week’s history. Happy 20th BRK-versary IMC!
June 30, 2005: Berkshire acquires Medical Protective Company from a subsidiary of General Electric, paying $825 million in cash.
July 1, 1991: H.H. Brown acquired.
July 1, 2014: Berkshire completes its cash rich split off transaction with Graham Holding Company, acquiring a Miami TV station, cash and Berkshire shares in the process.
July 3, 2000: Ben Bridge Jewelers acquired.
July 5, 2006: Berkshire pays $4 billion for an 80% stake in Israel-based ISCAR Metalworking Companies.
