No doubt most readers have heard of this and probably read it. According to the Social Security Administration, Warren Buffett has an additional life expectancy of 2.8 years. I’d venture there’s a 50/50 shot Buffett writes us another Thanksgiving letter next year. That’s just the cold, hard actuarial facts.
Whether he does or not doesn’t matter at this point — really. He’s said everything he needs to say and more. This letter, with its well-circulated “A Few Final Thoughts” ending, is a gem. It’s Warren telling us it’s all going to be okay — Berkshire, America, and ourselves. It’s Warren urging us all to meet his approval in a way that everyone can — by acting out kindness. Warren E. Buffett has already earned his epitaph: Teacher Extraordinaire.
