July 5, 2006: Berkshire pays $4 billion for an 80% stake in Israel-based ISCAR Metalworking Companies. Berkshire would go on to buy the remaining 20% in 2013 for $2.05 billion, implying a valuation of $10.25 billion, twice the original valuation.
