Q2-2026 Updates
Hingham released its Q2 earnings last Friday and its 13F on Monday.
The bank continues to make meaningful progress returning to a normalized level of profitability.
Q2 annualized core ROA and ROE were 0.94% and 8.55%
H1 annualized core ROA and ROE were 0.94% and 8.60%
The positives:
Continued net interest margin expansion driven by impressive growth in noninterest-bearing deposits
Continued overhead discipline
Resolution of a Washington, DC loan relationship and progress on another
Changes to the investment portfolio, including a new position in a bank, elimination of another bank holding, and reduction in Alphabet
The negatives:
Two one-time, non-recurring expenses
Additional reserves booked against the large WMA project
